Well hello!
Welcome to 2023. How bizarre! I remember when I was little thinking that by the time we got to the year 2000, we'd be living like The Jetsons! Remember them? I was wrong.
2023 is going to be a year of positive! A year of positive changes! I've been scribbling down tons of ideas about my candle business and where I want it to go, what I want to get out of it, and of course what I'm going to do to get there!
As always, everything is going to be a journey, a lot of work and a lot of dedication. I'm prepared for the ups and downs (hopefully more ups haha) that come hand in hand with this journey. And I'd like to thank you all for your on-going support! It's what drives me and what keeps me going!
So these blog posts are going to be real, personal and raw. This last year was a huge transition and learning curve for me. I've been working in Medical for the last 12 years and before that, big box store retail - so learning how to run a business was definitely a change! I read alot, asked alot of questions, and spent more time online and infront of a computer than I'd like to admit. However, in turn, I was able to create this website (Holy smokes!! I made a freaking website!) and a couple of social media sites to promote my brand and best of all, with a lot of fine tuning, some great products for you all to enjoy!
What can you expect from Mani Farms this year? Well, as I said, its a journey and I have a ton of ideas! The main one, is changing our way of production. Currently, I make all these candles based on season, and fragrances I really enjoy smelling in my home! Although, special orders are always going to be available (check out our fragrance list under the Special Order tab), but I think that pushing the niche over to focus more on specifics would be better.
Since I'm a huge mental health and wellness advocate, this year, what we're going to try to focus on is Wellness candles! We will be eliminating the assorment of sizes, and stick to one size candles (unless of course it's a special order) because this will make pricing and sales easier for you! We will, of course, still be making our amazing tealights and wax melts for you to enjoy! Packaging and pictures along the way, may change but making you the same great products (if not even better) will continue to be our goal, while maintaining our work in eliminating our carbon footprint!
This year, you can hopefully also expect to see some other amazing products popping up on our website to go along with the candles! Beautiful handmade wooden products made by my partner in crime, Mat! Some ideas we have are candle boxes, tealight holders and maybe even candle vessels. Stay tuned for more information on this as the idea unfolds!
As the year goes on, we will hopefully be able to help the brand get out there and known by maybe doing some craft shows and having our products available in a couple businesses for you!
I'm sitting here, typing out this blog and getting more and more excited for this year. 2022 was a tough year... and like we always say, out with the old and in with the new!
